D M Kennedy & Associates, and its predecessors, have been providing Estate Planning services for over 15 years now. We work with our families to help them find solutions to their Estate planning goals. If you have complex issues, we will work with you to resolve those issues so that your estate plan will meet your goals and your objectives.
D M Kennedy & Associates can provide a wide range of plans from very simple to very complex. Simple plans may or may not include a Will and a Durable Attorney for Finances, but everyone 18 and over should have a Durable Power of Attorney for Health Care, a Living Will and a HIPAA Waiver. An 18 year old who may have an unfortunate accident may need these documents to help protect them from the on-going costs of a court appointed Guardianship. While other individuals may need a more complex plan to address business needs, drug or alcohol dependent children, special needs children, spend thrift children, or other complex family situations. Every plan helps distribute assets to family, friends, and/or charities on their death, but a good plan also helps reduce taxes and attorney fees. More complex plans generally require the use of living trusts, either revocable, irrevocable or both. Whatever your needs, we will work with you to develop a plan that meets your needs, your objectives and your budget.
